Before 2012 ends

Amazing. It has been over 5 months since my last post. This semester proved to be one of my toughest yet, and it's ONLY my second last semester. Which means next year (my last semester), I am going to die. Teehee oh how fun.

My summer hols have already started almost a month ago and I've procrastinated this much needed update for as long as I could. Now that it's the last day of 2012, I finally moved my lazy ass to start on this post. 2012 has been a bittersweet year for me. More bitter than sweet, actually. A 9:1 ratio. Okay fine, I'll admit it was a pretty bad year for me lol. Doing my best to highlight my ups more than my downs so I won't feel so miserable about it.

Anyways, here are some stuff worth mentioning since my last update, just a quick recap on the latter half of the year. (pictureful!)

15.7.2012

Went for a day trip to the beach with the gang. A lot of walking involved and we had to take a shuttle because it was the 3rd day of rainfest, if I'm not mistaken.

There's nothing like a day of sand, sea and loved ones running and swimming like mad :)

Swam, built sandcastles, wrote our names in the sand, played volleyball, and stuffed outselves with junkfood till sunset and then we took loads of awesome sunset pics!

And then there's me doing a headstand!! :D And I thought I couldn't do it anymore, phew!

I turned 21! :D

Thanks to Abigail, Ah Sem and Leen who brought me out to dinner at Sharing Planet ♥

Even had special treatment! Sem helped cut my chicken into bite sizes for me! Until I found out he did that because they know I eat very slow -____- lol

And thanks to Amanda and Jess who brought me out to lunch at Koreana and surprised me with the rest showing up ♥ ♥

This is the third year this happened and I really must thank Jess for it :) Loveeee!!!

And then there was dinner with the fam on another night + meowy at Ten Ichi. Here are some food porn to make you salivate for a while ;)

The last one is my favourite on the menu there, the Rainbow maki! And then at cake time baby blew out my candles before I did which explains the following picture...

Sob.

After dinner we went for karaoke (my first time, mind you) at k11 at the hills. Embarrassing memories made that night, which I will not share here. Only those present that night know what really happened lol.

Everyone was posting on Facebook how orange/red the moon looked that night, so I went outside to see for myself and snapped a pic of it.

I had the experience of tagging along to my brother and Michelle's pre-wedding photoshoot. Best location ever: MY grandparents' house. Quite an eye-opener for me to see how these things worked. The photographer was kind enough to let me bring my camera and take some pictures on my own for the sake of practice :D

During the mid-autumn solstice festival I released a floating lantern for the first time in my life *sakai*

With the rest of my relatives. It was so fun to write our wishes on the lanterns and light them up and let them float off!

I attended my uni's convocation to see my seniors graduate and congratulate them.

I attended my cousin's wedding where I had a rather unusual experience....

Me and a couple other cousins made quite an entrance that night to welcome the newlyweds. Sunglasses to conceal our identities so it would be less embarrassing lol.

Halloween! I didn't go out and celebrate though. So I just stayed home and played with make up, resulting in the above picture *sheepish*

I went to my 姐姐's convocation ceremony at Inti. Congratulations, sis!! ♥

A lot of congratulations in this post aye lol. 2012 was something for me to remember, but not something I'd want to celebrate in the future. I'm really thankful for those who were there for me and helped me get through it. But that's all I can post for now. Will update on December soon. Now I gotta go get ready to welcome the new year!

Sun, sand and sea.

Ohai. *waves meekly* So procrastination got the better of me again and my so-called hibernation session lasted over a week. Sleeping my days off feels good though. Other than that I've been spending my time playing my guitar or running errands for the fam. Anyway, here's a post on my brief visit to the beach! :D 

Be prepared to see a lot of scenic photos lol.

Stayed at Damai Puri for the weekend a couple of weeks back. They were having some promo and mama had some company briefing there so she booked rooms for the whole fam. 

Me and Mich camwhoring in the room. In my haste to change and run like mad to the beach, I forgot to take pictures of the room. I wouldn't say it was small, but rather...under-furnished. And there were ants D: So much for being high-class, puri -__-

The weather was pretty glorious for the two days that we were there. No rain, almost no clouds at all.

Which also means this would probably be the last picture of me looking this fair. Got a little tanned but the worst damage was on my back. Can't believe I remembered to apply sunblock all over but forgot all about my back.

Sat on some rocks to enjoy the sea breeze and take pics for a while before going into the water. Poor baby freaked out when she stepped on the sand it was soft. Took a while for us to convince her it's safe to step on.

After we finally convinced baby to step into the water. She didn't want to get out anymore after that -__-

And then there's this picture. Cracks me up every time I see it. I have absolutely no idea what I was doing and I have no recollection of that moment. Hahahaha. Went to the infinity pool after that to chill and get the sand out of our clothes. The weather was still so hot even in the late evening that the pool water was warm wtf. Then it was time for dinner! 

Went to some beach restaurant, instead of Buntal cuz dad felt lazy to drive so far boohoo. 

And the food wasn't so bad, I guess :)

Only managed to take pics of the crab and fried oyster with egg cuz we were all so ravenously hungry and started eating as soon as the food arrived lol. Went back to the rooms after that to chill for a while.

Walked to Escobar at Damai Central with brother and Mich afterwards. Big footie match that night so it was super crowded. Luckily managed to grab a table outside after some people left early.

Went back to change and played some more on the beach after that. My poor poor skin lol.

Then went to Bayridge at Damai Central for lunch since we didn't eat much for breakfast.

Omnomnom. Bean curd, bilin and bamboo clams. Yummy seafood is yummy.

Damai Beach as seen from Bayridge! After lunch was a very sleepy car ride back home. After this trip, the fam and I have agreed that Damai Puri is boring compared to Damai Beach lol. And Damai Beach rooms are better compared to Puri's (if you get the normal rooms instead of the suite ones) plus you can have your own barbecues at Damai Beach! But I shan't complain, I came for the beach, and that's what I got :) Had my share of fun ♥
