Last pic before we checked out. HAHA. I know,
I'm messy as hell. I have to admit that I contributed the most to the mess here. So we moved to this cheaper family hotel on Orchard Road.
To be honest, I hated it. Mum thinks Ibis rooms are tiny compared to this hotel. What I hated the most was that I needed to pay for using the fucking WiFi. Like, hello? We're paying to use all your facilities already and you still wanna charge us for using your Internet? $5 for an hour, $15 for 3 hours, and $30 for 24 hours. No fucking way was I going to pay that much for WiFi. That explains my inactiveness on facebook for the next few days.
Ahem.
After checking in and dumping our stuff unceremoniously in our room again we went out to check out the famous Orchard Road.
Saw this on the way and thought it was hilarious.
Mai, like it? :PMy first glimpse of the shopping wonderland that was Orchard Road.
Had breakfast there. Which was Burger King.
T_____T Believe it or not, it was my very first time eating at Burger King.
Om nom nom nomz sakainess to the max
Obligatory tourist pictures. Mum is fail at photography. Period.
Sigh. ♥♥♥ Chocolate wonderland.
Went to Tang's....
and fell in love with a pair of shoes.
I don't know why I really really like them. But so sad they don't have my size for it.
These are pretty too but for some reason they look fugly on my feet so they're a no no for me.
Window shopped and met up with cousins at Wisma Atria and walked our legs off around 313.
Cousins. Going up this really really steep flight of escalators.
Huge crowd in 313.
Some percussion performance by Forever 21 staff outside 313. Why don't we have such cool stuff in Kuching, I wonder.
Walked back to the hotel since it looked like it was gonna rain cats and dogs. And cousin saw the hotel lift and was.....appalled at the size.
HAHA. Tiniest lift I've ever seen. A claustrophobic wouldn't last in here.
Rested in the room for like, half an hour? Then went out again to Orchard Road to wait for sundown.
Awesome escalator.
Mum wanted to take pictures with the crowd.
So we just walked and walked and walked. Saw these bunch of reindeers that mum adored imitating.
And she made me imitate one too.
The decorations on Orchard Road were superb when lighted up!
(haha accidentally included a cute dude in the pic)Giant Ferrero Rocher tree.
OM NOM NOM NOMZ.
Yes!!
Dancing Stormtrooper FTW.
Watch
this to understand.
Just the place to go broke in style.
My cute mummy with giant Christmas tree. It's not a normal tree....
Can walk in one! :O
And this is what you see inside! Pretty! ♥
And you see everyone else
sakai taking pictures of the ceiling too.
After that we took a cab from one end of Orchard Road to Suntec City. Nothing much there. just the usual shops. Bought myself a new wallet there though. :D My old one was hideously peeling. T__T
Sooo heavy with the metal buckle!
As much as I dislike the pattern on the outside, I like the inside. So many compartments and its not bulky! ♥
And there were these two saleswomen from Israel selling some dead sea products.
Vardi & Migdal. They demonstrated their nail buffer on my nails first (which was super awesome btw) then they noticed how dry my skin was and started putting all kinds of stuff on me. Seems they cannot stand seeing my skin condition and were really desperate to make my mum buy their products. Super expensive though. Few hundred SGD? :/ Mum kept refusing so they started adding on some free stuff. And mum was refusing until they offered $200 for these two things, and then a wholeee lot of other stuff worth around $200 also
free.
These two jars cost $200!
And we got this much stuff free! :3
So in the end we got this much for $200.
Quite reasonable now that you think about it. :P
I wanted to ask them to come sell it in Msia but I remembered that we don't have any diplomatic connections with them. T____T
Next day we decided to try taking the train. Wanted to visit Harbour Front so I can take pictures of the Merlion but mum wanted to shop instead. Can you believe that? I went to Singapore and came back without taking any pictures with THE Merlion?!
Sigh.
Sooo. We took the train to Vivo City. And mum wanted to take pictures ==
Lookie I saw this on Abi's blog! o__o
Then there was Tang's at Vivo City too. And I found the shoes that I fell in love with. And they have my size!!!!! ♥
(ignore two-tones)
I don't know if they look good on my feet, but I really love them!
But unfortunately they cost $49.90 and converted to MYR, its over RM120! Noope. Mum's never gonna get them for me.
Sooo. I want a Stitch! Someone get one for me! ♥
Walked around Vivo City some more.
And found this!
Haha what I hear a lot of people talk about when they come back to Kuching from Singapore. xD
Doulos was in Singapore!!
And Vivo City has their own marching percussionists. ♥
Saw this in the train station back from Vivo City. I kinda find it amusing o__0
Spent the night walking along Orchard Road again.
Same old, same old.
Next day, packed up before leaving for Changi Airport and I forgot to take a picture of the room we stayed in. Its called Supreme Hotel, if anyone's interested. Not so supreme if you ask me. ==
Loving the deco.
More Chrismassy awesomeness here.
Went to the terminal and found out our flight was delayed for like, two hours. Feh. So we went to bookshops to hunt for stuff to read so we won't die of boredom.
And I saw this:
Lookie what we have here! The book that was banned from Malaysia for reasons I cannot recall. I remember my physics tuition teacher, Mr Lee, telling us about this book. And he even photocopied all the gruesome pictures and showed everyone. Hmmm.
No, I didn't get it. I got a word puzzle book instead.
Yehhh. So sad to say buh-bye to Singapore.
You will see me again soon!!!!!!!!
Had an awesome seat where I could do whatever I liked with my legs.
HAHA as if they're that long. Emergency seat cuz they they had no more window seats for me ==
Ammmm. Kinda lazy to post up pics of they stuff I bought though. Some other time maybe? ♥
