Before 2012 ends

Amazing. It has been over 5 months since my last post. This semester proved to be one of my toughest yet, and it's ONLY my second last semester. Which means next year (my last semester), I am going to die. Teehee oh how fun.

My summer hols have already started almost a month ago and I've procrastinated this much needed update for as long as I could. Now that it's the last day of 2012, I finally moved my lazy ass to start on this post. 2012 has been a bittersweet year for me. More bitter than sweet, actually. A 9:1 ratio. Okay fine, I'll admit it was a pretty bad year for me lol. Doing my best to highlight my ups more than my downs so I won't feel so miserable about it.

Anyways, here are some stuff worth mentioning since my last update, just a quick recap on the latter half of the year. (pictureful!)

15.7.2012

Went for a day trip to the beach with the gang. A lot of walking involved and we had to take a shuttle because it was the 3rd day of rainfest, if I'm not mistaken.

There's nothing like a day of sand, sea and loved ones running and swimming like mad :)

Swam, built sandcastles, wrote our names in the sand, played volleyball, and stuffed outselves with junkfood till sunset and then we took loads of awesome sunset pics!

And then there's me doing a headstand!! :D And I thought I couldn't do it anymore, phew!

I turned 21! :D

(Got my key to adulthood, boo yah!)

Thanks to Abigail, Ah Sem and Leen who brought me out to dinner at Sharing Planet ♥

Even had special treatment! Sem helped cut my chicken into bite sizes for me! Until I found out he did that because they know I eat very slow -____- lol

And thanks to Amanda and Jess who brought me out to lunch at Koreana and surprised me with the rest showing up ♥ ♥

This is the third year this happened and I really must thank Jess for it :) Loveeee!!!

And then there was dinner with the fam on another night + meowy at Ten Ichi. Here are some food porn to make you salivate for a while ;)

The last one is my favourite on the menu there, the Rainbow maki! And then at cake time baby blew out my candles before I did which explains the following picture...

Sob.

After dinner we went for karaoke (my first time, mind you) at k11 at the hills. Embarrassing memories made that night, which I will not share here. Only those present that night know what really happened lol.

Everyone was posting on Facebook how orange/red the moon looked that night, so I went outside to see for myself and snapped a pic of it.

I had the experience of tagging along to my brother and Michelle's pre-wedding photoshoot. Best location ever: MY grandparents' house. Quite an eye-opener for me to see how these things worked. The photographer was kind enough to let me bring my camera and take some pictures on my own for the sake of practice :D

During the mid-autumn solstice festival I released a floating lantern for the first time in my life *sakai*

With the rest of my relatives. It was so fun to write our wishes on the lanterns and light them up and let them float off!

I attended my uni's convocation to see my seniors graduate and congratulate them.

I attended my cousin's wedding where I had a rather unusual experience....

Me and a couple other cousins made quite an entrance that night to welcome the newlyweds. Sunglasses to conceal our identities so it would be less embarrassing lol.

Halloween! I didn't go out and celebrate though. So I just stayed home and played with make up, resulting in the above picture *sheepish*

I went to my 姐姐's convocation ceremony at Inti. Congratulations, sis!! ♥

A lot of congratulations in this post aye lol. 2012 was something for me to remember, but not something I'd want to celebrate in the future. I'm really thankful for those who were there for me and helped me get through it. But that's all I can post for now. Will update on December soon. Now I gotta go get ready to welcome the new year!

Sad eyes.

Good morning! How y'all doin? :D

It's 1am and my poor PC has been labouring away nonstop for the past 3 days rendering my 3D animations for my assignment submission. And as of right now it is still rendering away, so I'm blogging from my phone! (yaybloggerapp!)

Here's what my computer is busy rendering. A chair. The chair you see in the picture is not real. It is a computer-generated image. *proud* Lol quite happy with the result! Much better than character modelling, IMO.

Anyway, today I bought this.

For the very reason I am awake right now. Been having a lot of horrible, sleepless nights for the past few months, either because of assignments or just plain emoness. And I've come to notice hideous dark circles developing under my eyes lately :(

I contemplated buying a concealer or foundation to cover it up, but those are just temporary solutions and would probably worsen the dark circles in the long run. Told a classmate about it and she told me she has already started using eyecream! I always thought we'd only have to start using eye cream when we're much older than this, not when we're 21!

So I consulted my skin pro and life mentor; MOM, about this. And all she said was I don't need it yet, I just need to sleep early at night! But I don't think that's possible when I'm entering my final year in uni T____T

So I told Michelle about it. (You can tell how lost and distressed I was; didn't want to make any unnecessary decisions D: ) and she told me to try the Garnier brightening eye roll-on thingy first. So I did.

Hooooope it works for me! To keep my eyes refreshed, keep me awake, and reduce the dark circles and eye bags under my eyes. Fingers crossed! :O

Good food, movie and company ♥

Heya peeps! Believe it or not my holidays have already ended and my uni's winter term officially begins today *depressed* Oh wells. The hols weren't so bad while they lasted. Spent most of the time running errands, rotting at home and going to the gym. 

Anyhooooooo, nearing the end of the past semester, me and bunny planned to go on a girly date together as soon as we were free from assignments. It's been a while since I went on one anyways and it would prolly do me good. Plus, bunny hasn't been on a girly date before, so YAYGIRLYDATE :D

Bunny looking so preeetty ♥ Went to KFC at tHe Spring for brunch since I had some vouchers that I have yet to redeem from refueling and we had a movie to catch!

Got a set for two with chix, cheesy wedges and coleslaw. Talked so much and ate so slowly that we couldn't finish the food in the end -___- Oh and this dude at the next table was camwhoring quite conspicuously with his phone, and while me and bunny were talking he suddenly stuck his arm out in front of us and took a picture of himself. Totally caught us off guard mid-conversation and we broke out into uncontrollable fits of giggles till we were tearing up and clutching our stomachs. Couldn't eat anymore after that boo.

Two venti Chocolate Cookie Crumble Crème Frappes! Went to Starbucks to get our frappe fix before our movie and for that day my name was Cherry too :)

Camwhored and talked for a little bit to pass the time. Then we went to watch Dark Shadows!

And it was pretty awesome. Tim Burton movies never disappoint, imo! We loved it so much o__o Loved the storyline, the characters (though not all lol), the overall theme! Bunny liked it so much she went to watch it again that very night lol. If you haven't seen this, you're missing out! I'm hoping for a sequel soon because in the end *spoiler* Dr Hoffman didn't actually die. Pretty sure she wants revenge of some sort :O 

Went to get our nails done at Posh Nail Parlour after that!

And say hello to new colours! We initially planned to mix two bright colours, but after watching Dark Shadows we were super inspired to do somewhat gothic colours xD

Colours: O.P.I Russian Navy and Kyoto Pearl

This really cute mini-fan that they use to dry our nails! 

We were slightly mistaken by the Russian Navy though, because we thought it would be purple like in the bottle, but it turned out more blue instead. But it still matched the Kyoto Pearl anyways so we didn't really mind.

Crazy amount of beautiful O.P.I colours the nail parlour has. The two lower layers are all gel colours o__o

Preeetty chandelier and preeetty winged arm chairs for customers doing pedicures or foot scrubs! The interior of the nail parlour is really pretty... It has this classic metro look to it and sometimes they even play old jazzy swing music to set the mood!

The nail parlour's fairly new and their prices are quite reasonable. So if you're looking for somewhere new to get a manicure done you can check them out at One Jaya ground floor! :)

Final results of my manicure! :D All in all, I had a pretty awesome day with bunny. Though I did feel a little fat after that. Kfc + Starbucks omg haha. Bunny says we can't do this too often or else I'd get really fat T__T Ah, but still! Looking forward to more girly dates! ;)
